Hey all, Mr. Navarra here. I started a 5th Grade band program at Glacier Peak and we are looking for some high schoolers who would be interested in running 25 minute sectionals with a small group (5-7) of 5th graders. We are just working on basics and fundamentals, so it would be pretty easy.

Instruments we need people for are Clarinet, Flute, Trombone, and Trumpet. We have rehearsals Monday and Wednesdays from 2:45-3:20. If you are interested, please reach out for details! Thanks Hawks!

Hey everyone!

Thank you to those who joined us last night!

The presentation slides are now available. They are organized in this order:

-Trip information
-Band program information
-BPA slides

You can also find the full calendar and additional details at https://horizonhawks.band. We highly recommend syncing the band calendar to your personal Google Calendar so you don’t miss important dates.

Reminder: The Sock Fundraiser ends TODAY! This is a great opportunity to pay down fees and bring accounts positive before the trip.

We also encourage families to sign up for RaiseRight and King Soopers Rewards. These programs are easy to use and have been incredibly helpful for many of our current band families in reducing costs.

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Hey all! Request from the admin team at HHS:

We would love your feedback! In an effort to help us continually elevate your child’s educational experience, we encourage you to take our annual Family-School Relationships Survey! The survey is specific to our school and will help us know where we are succeeding and where we can improve. The survey is open now through Feb. 20th, 2026, and is completely anonymous. The survey is expected to take approximately 10 – 15 minutes and can be taken in English, Spanish, or eleven other languages on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Please consider helping with this, your feedback is so valuable and makes a big difference in Horizon's approach to giving your students the best experience every year!

We apologize, but the Applebee’s Pancake Fundraiser has been canceled due to low ticket sales. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your support.

If you purchased tickets, please let us know if you would prefer a refund or if you would like the funds applied toward your student’s fees.

Thank you again for your understanding and support.

*New Fundraiser Opportunity!!*
As you may know, the Winter Percussion/Winter Guard is selling tickets to an Applebee's Pancake Breakfast as a fundraiser for their programs. We need to sell 100 tickets in order to maximize our fundraising, and we have only sold 21 tickets so far. Therefore, we have decided to open it up to the rest of the band to sell tickets too!

The breakfast is Sunday, February 15th, from 8-10 am, at Applebee's on 120th & Grant. Tickets are $12 each, and, if we hit 100 tickets sold, students will get $6 per ticket into their band account! (Profits will be lower if less than 100 are sold.) The link for ticket sales is here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/applebees-pancake-breakfast-4

As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
