Weekly Update Mar. 9th
We have the spring concert for the concert, symphonic, and wind ensembles on Tuesday at 6:30pm. We were planning on having our silent auction that night, however, we have chosen to postpone it until the last concert of the year to kick off the marching season. If you were unable to get your student’s basket item, we now have more time! If you need to bring in an item, or if you would like to donate more, please bring it in to Mr. Dailey.
At Tuesday’s concert, the students are encouraged to wear a pop of pink with their concert black. We will be honoring the life of Tierney Denke who passed away on Wednesday. We are all incredibly heartbroken to lose a band student. I would like to invite parents (and others) who come to the concert on Tuesday to also wear pink. We would love to show the Denke family that we are thinking of them through during this difficult time, so please join us and let’s show our love and wear pink. We will take pictures and send them to the family.
If your student is going on the Ireland trip, they will be bringing home their uniform tomorrow, along with their trip shirt, and baseball hat. Please make sure that your student has the following packed:
- Passport
- Uniform pants
- Uniform top
- Marching shoes
- Baseball hat (they are wearing this for the parade)
- Gloves
- Gauntlets
- Black socks
- Their instrument (reed players have an extra reed, brass players have slide/valve oil).
We are NOT taking spare uniform parts, so please triple check they have everything. Have a great week!

Due to high winds we will move inside and work on music. We will work on our parade stuff and start building a set list for our castle performance!

Don't forget we have the first Ireland Trip Rehearsal today at 3:30 pm as well as our full band program meeting about the 2025-2026 school year at 7 pm in the auditorium. Weekly Update Feb. 23rd
Greetings band families!
This week, on Tuesday February 25th at 7pm, we will be having an all band parent/student meeting for those who will be in the band program next year. This will be an informative meeting for incoming freshman, new band members, and current band members. Mr. Dailey will be discussing the programs offered, what the schedule will look like and will be revealing the marching show. There will be a short presentation by the BPA and you will have a chance to meet with the different members after the meeting. This meeting will start promptly at 7pm, please plan on attending.
If your student is going on the Ireland trip, rehearsals begin this Tuesday at 3:30pm. The rehearsals prior to the trip are as follows:
- Tuesday 2/25 – 3:30-5pm (First Rehearsal)
- Thursday 2/27 – 3:30-5pm
- Tuesday 3/4 – 3:30-5pm
- Thursday 3/6 – 3:30-5pm
- Monday 3/10 – 3:30-5pm (Final Rehearsal)
Unfortunately, we still have several students who owe band fees. This greatly impacts our budget and ability to provide resources for the band program to be successful. The band parent’s association provides funds for things like transportation, money for new music, drill, instructors, and so much more. Please make sure that your student’s fees are paid in full. If you need to assistance with fees please contact either the HHSBPA or Mr. Dailey.
