The Palisade Peaches fundraiser kicks off today! Here is the important information to get started!

Link: https://mesaparkfruit.com/horizon

Peaches are $45 per box, and for each box sold the band makes $15 ($10.50 from each box goes into the student’s band account, and the BPA keeps the other $4.50). Orders are open NOW and close August 12. Peaches will be delivered to Horizon on August 15, where each student will be expected to pick up all of their orders and deliver from there (individual customers are not expected to pick up from HHS on 8/15). Time for pickup has not been determined and will be communicated in a few weeks.

The students were given flyers today with a QR code that takes you to the link above. This is Horizon’s direct order link, where all pre-orders for peaches are done. Customers will be prompted to enter the name of the STUDENT whom they are supporting (this is how we will know whose accounts to credit for what sales).

If you have questions, please reach out to me here, or email me at hhsbpafundraising@gmail.com.

Weekly Update June 28th

Good evening band families,

Just a quick reminder that the students have mini band camp this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am-4pm. Please make sure that your student gets a good night’s sleep and has breakfast in the morning. They will need to bring a water bottle, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, their instrument and music. They will have a one hour lunch break, so have them pack a lunch if they are unable to leave to get lunch.

We would like to provide a fruit break in the morning and a popsicle break in the afternoon on each of the three days. We are in need of parents to volunteer to bring fruit and popsicles. We have a few spots left open, if you are able, please sign up here:

Fruit & Popsicle Break Sign Up

The first band fee payment is due on Wednesday July 1st. You should have received your CutTime sign in link through text. If you are an android user, it may end up in your text spam, so if you did not receive it, please check there. Remember, this is your magic link to your student’s account. You will need to keep this link for the year.

You can also make a payment via Zeffy:

Zeffy Band Fee Payment Link

Ashly will be at the school on Wednesday at 9am and 4pm if you would like to pay by cash or check since your student will not have access to the band room where the locked payment box is.

If you have a senior this year, we will be offering the senior banners again this year. They will be $70 and pictures will be taken on Thursday August 6th at 5pm. The students do not have band rehearsal that night, it is back to school night. If you would like to purchase a senior banner, please make sure that your student can be at the school that night. I will be sending out a sign up for this soon, but wanted to get it on your radar now so you can plan accordingly.

Please reach out if you have any questions!

Update from BAND: Sun June 28, 2026 1:50pm

Hey Hawks! I can't wait to see you all tomorrow for the start of our mini camp!

Remember, we'll be going from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm Monday-Wednesday. Because of the construction at HHS, we'll be outside most of the day. We only have access to the auditorium and auditorium lobby. Please bring lots of water, sunscreen, hats, and appropriate athletic attire and shoes.

Lunch once again is on your own. You can take a break from the sun eating in the auditorium lobby, but you must clean up after yourselves.

We have a lot of work and growing to do these three days, and I'm so excited to dive into new topics and music!

Don't forget that final commitment is due by Wednesday where we will finalize our drill numbers and get your spots for the show that we'll start learning starting on July 27th!

See you tomorrow, and start hydrating TODAY to be ready for the week!

Hey everyone! Heads up on an upcoming fundraiser that you can start getting friends and family excited for!

Starting next week, students will be selling boxes of Palisade peaches—directly from an orchard in Palisade, CO! There will be a link to order from, and customers will enter the name of the musician they are supporting. Boxes are $45/box (25-28 peaches per box, approx. 10 lbs) and the students will earn $10.50 per box for their band account!

The fundraiser will be open during the month of July and will be delivered mid-August. Start spreading the word to everyone you know who loves peaches, and be on the lookout for more information and the ordering link soon!

Hey Hawks!

Final reminder that tomorrow is our car wash fundraiser! If you're planning on coming, please fill out the student volunteer form for the car wash: (If you forget, you can still show up and get credit for helping at the wash!) https://forms.gle/Wco6y4TD937mfA2k8

Don't forget sunscreen, water, a snack if you'll need one, dress appropriately, and be ready to work to get those cars squeaky clean!

Great job to those of you who have fundraised (some close to ALL of their band fees!!) with the calendar campaign. If you collected cash/checks/etc. you can turn that in tomorrow as well. Remember, you can still get started and have this campaign run for the rest of the summer, there just won't be a car wash associated with the donations.

See you tomorrow!

Hey Marching Hawks Leadership Team!

Just a reminder that the Command the Field Drum Major & Leadership Camp is coming up soon! This is an awesome opportunity to grow your leadership skills, improve your conducting, learn how to teach and motivate others, and bring new ideas back to the Marching Hawks.

One exciting addition this year is that Command the Field is partnering with the Blue Knights experience, giving students access to even more leadership and marching arts education opportunities.

I highly encourage all current and aspiring drum majors, section leaders, and student leaders to check it out. You can find more information here:

Let me know if you have any questions or reach out to Dr. Grice directly!

Hey Hawks! This post if for all things car wash and calendar fundraiser! Please take a few minutes to read the post all the way through and get signed up for the fundraiser and to volunteer:

We are under two weeks out from the car wash and hopefully you have been hard at work filling your calendar for donations, but if not, there is still time! Attached is the actual calendar, and here's the link to get signed up: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/peer-to-peer/marching-hawks-calendar-and-car-wash-fundraiser

The calendar does not need to be done by the car wash, but after you won't be able to use that as a "bonus" for donations after. Remember to share your zeffy link out via social media, text/email, whatever to get the word out. I've seen several students also walk door to door asking for support from neighbors with a lot of success! Over $1,100 has been raised to student accounts but this fundraiser has potential to pay 90 percent of your band fees AND $80,000 to accounts total!!

Here is the student volunteer form for the car wash: https://forms.gle/Wco6y4TD937mfA2k8
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Parents, you should have received an email from Horizonbandparents@gmail.com with the parent volunteer sign up and more info, if you did not, please review the last post and fill out that google form for communication and CutTime.
