Hello Marching Hawks Families!
We have a big fundraising weekend ahead, followed by the launch of our Play It Forward- Rapid Fundraising Blitz on Monday!
Here’s what you need to know:
Students will be performing pep band music and collecting donations from our community at two locations:
Students have already divided themselves between the two locations, so please check with your student to make sure you know where to drop them off.
Friends, family, neighbors, and community members are welcome to stop by, hear the band, and support the Marching Hawks!
Our biggest online fundraising push begins Monday, with a goal of raising $60,000 for the Marching Hawks!
Families: your biggest job this weekend is to help your student build their contact list. Please use the attached Contact List Worksheet and work together to identify at least 25 people your student can contact. Think grandparents, extended family, family friends, coworkers, neighbors, former teachers/coaches, friends’ parents, and anyone who has enjoyed watching your student perform.
Students who prepare 25+ contacts raise significantly more, and parents can make an even bigger difference by giving those contacts a quick heads-up before Monday that their student will be reaching out. The students will be calling between 3:30-5:00 pm.
Our $60,000 goal directly helps us keep marching band fees as low as possible while continuing to invest in our students and program. Last year’s incredible fundraising efforts helped us purchase our show shirts, upgrade our sound system, and purchase new instruments. This year, we’re focusing on new front ensemble equipment, working toward a new drumline, and continuing to upgrade our marching instruments for the future.
This weekend’s family homework: help your student get their 25+ contacts ready for Monday!
Don’t forget:
Peach pick-up will be this Saturday after Mile of Money, from 12:15-1:15 pm at Horizon. Look for the truck with all of the peaches on it!
Yes, you will receive a list of who ordered from you, so you know who to deliver the boxes to!
Thank you for helping make these opportunities possible for our students. When everyone participates, even small donations add up to a HUGE impact.
-Mr. Dailey
Good morning. I have 4 peach orders that did not give us student names when they ordered, they entered the orders under their own names. If you recognize any of the names below as someone who would have purchased from you, please let me know as soon as possible. I have texted them, but have received no response. Thank you!

Hey everyone! I received notification from the orchard this morning that they have had to close our fundraiser early today. Sounds like the entire valley is running out of peaches, and they want to make sure that they get all of our orders packed today to ensure everything gets taken care of. Please apologize to anybody who tries to order and is unable to. Hopefully we are able to do this fundraiser again next year, it seems like it was a successful one for our group!

Peaches update!
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Wed 8/12, is the final day for peach orders. Make your final push tonight to get those boxes sold!
Peach pick-up will be this Saturday after Mile of Money, from 12:15-1:15 pm at Horizon. Look for the truck with all of the peaches on it! I will get a final order list on Thursday, and will post on the BAND app who has orders that will need to be picked up. If you have a lot of orders, I will reach out to you individually so you can be prepared to bring a big vehicle or make multiple trips.
Yes, you will receive a list of who ordered from you, so you know who to deliver the boxes to!
Please reach out to me here on the app or send an email to hhsbpafundraising@gmail.com if you have any questions!

Hey Hawks!
I’m so excited for the show and tell tonight! Few reminders:
-Rehearsal will be from 4-6 pm
-We will be performing on the parking lot, the turf field was not available. (Bring a chair if you’d like to sit)
-We will start the presentation and performance at 6 pm! -We will eat after the run through.
Thanks all and see you later!
– Mr. Dailey
Hey Band!
Last night was challenging, but challenge is where growth begins. I want you to come into rehearsal tonight knowing that I believe in this group and what we can accomplish together! We have the talent and potential to be better than we’ve ever been, now, we’re building the habits to match!
Remember: Action inspires motivation. We don’t have to wait until we feel motivated. We can create it through our actions: counting confidently, listening closely, moving quickly back to our spots, and responding immediately to instructions. Every small action helps the entire band improve.
Tomorrow at 6:00 pm is our parent Show and Tell, so tonight is an important opportunity to clean, strengthen, and take pride in what we’ve created. Come ready to work, support one another, and approach every rep with a fresh, positive mindset. Let’s show ourselves what this band can become!
Please bring your lyres tonight. You’ll also need the BEAM app downloaded and logged in through your ARC account so we can work on pep band music.
– Mr. Dailey
Hey all!
We’re looking for old 12V car or truck batteries for our marching band props. Working or non-working batteries are both welcome!
If you have one (or more) you’d be willing to donate, please let us know or bring it to band camp this week and drop off with a staff member. Your donation will help us bring this year’s show to life!
Thank you!
– Mr. Dailey
Good evening band families!
Band Camp
Band camp continues this week, but only in the afternoon. The students will meet Monday-Thursday from 4pm-7:30pm and Friday from 4pm-6pm.
Show N’ Tell
At 6pm on Friday August 7th, we will have our annual Show N’ Tell. The students will be giving us a sneak peak into what they have been working on this summer, including performing the first part of the show. We will also have a short band parent meeting. We encourage everyone to come out and join us at Show N’ Tell, it is always fun to see what the students have been working on. After the students are finished, we will be offering our hot dog dinner to families. For $5 you can get a hot dog, bag of chips, cookie and a bottle of water. The students do not have to purchase their meal, but if you would like to eat with them, please purchase your meal here before Tuesday August 4th so we know how many meals we need to provide.
Prop Building
Happy Sunday everyone,
First, thank you to everyone who came out and helped during Band Camp last week! Our crew made incredible progress, and we accomplished so much in a short amount of time. We truly couldn’t do this without all of your support.
As the band moves to afternoon rehearsals this week, our prop-building schedule will shift to 4:30–7:30 p.m. each evening.
Unfortunately, due to plumbing issues at Horizon, we are unable to access the Fieldhouse at the beginning of the week. Because of this, we will continue our builds at a house:
2611 E. 136th Place
Thornton, CO 80602
We plan to work at this address on:
We are hopeful that we’ll be back in the Fieldhouse for our Thursday and Friday builds, and I’ll send out an update as soon as that is confirmed. Thursday’s build is the same 4:30-7:30 p.m. time frame, location TBD. Friday, the band’s Show and Tell starts at 6 p.m., so we’ll begin at 4:30 p.m. but ends a little before 6 p.m. to push a sample of our props for students and families to see.
We made great progress during Band Camp, but we’ve reached the point in the build where we really need all hands on deck. Right now, we’re working on building 13 Tesla coils and constructing the back wall for our stage. We have a lot to accomplish before the Show & Tell on Friday, August 7, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Even if you can’t commit to an entire evening, we’d love to have you stop by for an hour or two. Every bit of time helps, and there are tasks for all skill levels.
Thank you again for everything you’ve done to support our students and this program. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this week’s schedule.
See you soon!

Thank you so much for your help!
