HHSBPA Update

Quick Update April 3rd

Good evening band families!

We just wanted to send out a couple quick reminders as we near the end of the year:

We will be putting together our silent auction gift baskets soon. Your student’s section decided on a theme and we are asking for you to donate an item for the gift basket and have that to the school no later than 4/17.

If you have a senior, you may make a tri-fold board with photos on it to display at our last concert band concert (4/30) and the last jazz concert (5/7).

The marching band read-thru and parent meeting will be on 5/18. The music read-thru is from 57pm followed by a band parent meeting. Please plan on attending this meeting if you have a student that will be in the marching band next season.

We will be communicating more information towards the end of April, we just wanted to remind everyone about the silent auction items and the senior boards at this time.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hello Band Families!

I hope everyone had a fun and restful spring break! I wanted to send a quick message out with a few updates:

Unified Basketball- April 2nd @3:30
Please join us in the pep band for this unified match up against Thornton PD! It counts for lettering, is great for our community, and amps up the environment for this really fun opportunity right after school. Game goes pretty quick, we'll be done after about an hour.

Wind Symphony CBA State Rehearsal- April 16th 1-4 pm
Make sure all Wind Symphony members are available for our April 16th rehearsal from 1-4 pm to make up for the three missed rehearsals for state testing. State is on April 20th, and we are departing HHS at 7:00 am so we will need to be fully prepared before that weekend!

Leadership Application Due April 10th:
Here are the leadership audition materials (this can also be found on Schoology):
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YyB-eNVPWmFU5XsbDBCX5JOT0p7ArwMSb87OgeMKkwQ/edit?usp=sharing

Please make sure all items and submissions are due by April 10th, late applications will not be accepted. Auditions are on April 14th and 16th.

Scott Lang Clinic at Mountain Range HS- April 13th @4:30 pm- 7:00 pm
If you have signed up for the clinic, make sure to turn in your payment ($25) by April 10th to the black box outside of my office. Either a check made out to the "HHSBPA" or cash in an envelope. For either, include your name and "Scott Lang Clinic." If you're using you BPA account, it MUST be in the positive.

Update from BAND: Wed March 11, 2026 3:52pm

Hey all, Mr. Navarra here. I started a 5th Grade band program at Glacier Peak and we are looking for some high schoolers who would be interested in running 25 minute sectionals with a small group (5-7) of 5th graders. We are just working on basics and fundamentals, so it would be pretty easy.

Instruments we need people for are Clarinet, Flute, Trombone, and Trumpet. We have rehearsals Monday and Wednesdays from 2:45-3:20. If you are interested, please reach out for details! Thanks Hawks!
