Hey all! A few important things as we are approaching the weekend:

Bb instruments can just read the trumpet part for the first movement solo, and I transposed only to instruments that will be able to also audition for each marked solo. Pre-show alto solo, trumpet solo, and baritone/low brass solos for movement 1 and a few alternate parts in the woodwind quartet in movement 2. The alto flute solo now has a normal flute part for flutes auditioning for that as well, we will transfer it back to alto flute later in the season.

Dear Marching Band Families,

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for last night’s kickoff meeting, it was a great start to what promises to be an exciting and memorable season!
I was especially thrilled with how strong our read-through sounded. It’s already clear we’ve got a fantastic group of students coming together this year!
For anyone who couldn’t make it, or if you’d like to review the information, we’ve attached the slides from the meeting below. These contain all the key dates, expectations, and details you’ll need to stay in the loop.

Reminder: Commitment forms and deposits are due by June 18th. This is how we’ll confirm each student’s official spot in the show, so please make sure those are submitted on time.

Join us in the HHS Auditorium (enter through Door 15 on the northwest/back side of the building) for our Season Kick-Off Read Through and Parent Meeting!

5:00 PM – Student Read Through
Students will meet their sections, connect with leadership and staff, start on the warm-up book, and dive into music for this year’s exciting show: “On the Western Horizon” 🤠🎺

6:30 PM – Parent Meeting
This is a crucial meeting to launch the season. We'll cover:

-Expectations & Requirements ✅

Hey all! See below for Marching Hawks Percussion information for auditions and clinics. We start this Wednesday at 5 pm if you can make it!

Attention Horizon Percussionist!
We are excited to offer a series of clinics and audition prep sessions to help you develop your percussion skills and increase your chances of landing the instrument you want for next year!

Here are the dates and times for the upcoming events:

Marching Hawks Percussion Clinics:
Wednesday, April 9th – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Tuesday, April 15th – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Saturday, April 19th – 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Audition Prep Sessions:
Tuesday, April 22nd – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Wednesday, April 23rd – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Auditions:

Why attend?
These clinics and prep sessions are a great opportunity to grow your percussion skills and get ready for auditions. While attending these events isn’t mandatory, we highly recommend coming to at least one clinic and one prep session to maximize your potential.
