BAND.us is available as an App from Google Play (for Android devices) or the Apple Store (for iOS devices). You will require a private invite to join the Horizon Hawks Bands group as it is not open to the public. Do not despair! That handy dandy invite, along with a quick start guide on how to get connected is available by clicking the button directly below. Please contact Tim Dailey (using the contact detail in the sidebar to the right) or ask your student to share the password.
And here is the link to the HHS BAND.us page if you need to bookmark it once you’re connected.

Hello everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your spring break! I wanted to provide a quick update: the Leadership Application information is now available on Schoology under both the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble sections. For our color guard members who aren’t in those ensembles, I’ll also attach the information here as an alternative way to access it. Please be sure to thoroughly read through all the instructions, essay prompts, format guidelines, and audition requirements. As a reminder, the initial application will be considered "Round 1," and from there, you’ll be invited to audition in person on either April 23rd or 24th. One important change this year: Drum Major applications will only be open to students with two years of Marching Hawks experience. The staff believes this better reflects the commitment and experience needed for the position. Section Leaders, however, will still only need one year of Marching Hawks experience. Everyone is welcome to attend the Drum Major/Section Leader workshops before auditions, regardless of experience level. We’ll go over this in more detail when we return from break. Lastly, a quick reminder: the $25 fee for the Scott Lang Workshop is due when we return. The workshop will be held at 4:30 PM on April 10th at Mountain Range High School. Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your break! See you all next week! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YyB-eNVPWmFU5XsbDBCX5JOT0p7ArwMSb87OgeMKkwQ/edit?usp=sharing

Hey band! After each game we are seeing that the pep tunes folder basket is treated in a very poor manner. We are asking that nobody touch the pep music, even section leaders to avoid having to reorganize after every game. If you need music please see myself, a designated person, or Mr. Dailey and Mr. Duran. Thank you!
– Brookelyn Spencer
Hey all! Few reminders about tomorrow, 2/10: Pep Assembly- come straight to the band room 2nd hour so we can get warmed up and do rolling pep band before it starts! Ireland final meeting: meet at 6 pm in the Auditorium, we have a lot of information to go over!

Happy Friday! This note is for the parents of our amazing jazz band students. For those that do not know who I am, I am your BPA Chaperone Chair person. I am looking for 2 parents to chaperone the Jazz band to the Mile High Jazz Festival on Thursday, February 13. You must be able to be at Horizon at 7am. You will ride the bus with the band and be with the kids all day from 7 AM to 4:30 PM (mostly in the auditorium). If you’re interested in chaperoning, please let me know by end of day Monday February 10th via a message through this platform. Thank you! Go Hawks!

Little Caesars pickup is today! Students, if you have orders, they are in the band room for you to pick up. Please take them immediately after 7th or 8th hour, and get them home and in the fridge/freezer ASAP. Parents, if your student has a large order, please try to pick them up from school or arrange a ride for them—walking home while carrying 6 pizza kits will be a lot of work!
– Melissa
I’m headed down to CoS this morning for CMEA, but Xander didn’t get me a ticket! Hoping they are available to purchase there? If not maybe someone has an extra? Fingers crossed because I’m already driving!

Winds- make sure to fill out the car overnight form in schoology if your vehicle is staying at horizon tonight so they have all of the info they need!
